End of reduced VAT on electricity and selected products

It has been announced by the Ministry of Finance that from October 2024 the electricity subsidy and the 0% VAT which was previously granted on essential goods will no longer apply.  The 5% VAT rate will now apply on bread, milk, eggs etc which was the applicable rate before the relief scheme was applied since March 2023.
